What changes when slides become a course
A slide deck and an eLearning course can hold the same content and still do very different jobs. This is what the conversion adds.

Why the knowledge checks matter: in a 2006 study published in Psychological Science, students who restudied a text did better on a test 5 minutes later, but students who were tested on it remembered more after 2 days and after 1 week. Retrieval practice helps long-term memory, which a slide read once does not give you.
What survives a PowerPoint import (and what we rebuild)
Most of the main authoring tools can bring PowerPoint content in, but none of them turns a deck into a finished course. PowerPoint itself has no SCORM option: Microsoft's list of formats it saves to includes PDF, video (MP4 or WMV), images and web pages, not SCORM. To convert PowerPoint to SCORM, you publish through an authoring tool. Here is what the vendors' own help pages say happens on import.

Output formats, authoring tools and LMSs
Output formats: SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004, xAPI and HTML5. SCORM is the standard that lets a course report completion and scores to most LMSs; xAPI records learning activity as statements in a Learning Record Store (LRS) and can track learning outside an LMS.
Authoring tools: Articulate Storyline 360, Articulate Rise 360, Adobe Captivate, Lectora, iSpring Suite, dominKnow ONE and Elucidat.
LMSs: LMS platforms we have delivered courses to include Moodle, TalentLMS, Docebo and Cornerstone. We also test courses in other SCORM and xAPI LMSs, for example Absorb, SAP SuccessFactors, Workday Learning, Canvas and Litmos.
We match the output to what your LMS supports. For example, Moodle's documentation says SCORM 1.2 is supported and SCORM 2004 is not, and TalentLMS says it currently supports only SCORM 1.2 (plus xAPI and cmi5).

PowerPoint to eLearning conversion FAQ
No. Microsoft's list of formats PowerPoint can save to includes PDF, video, image and web page formats, but not SCORM. To get a SCORM package, you publish the slides through an authoring tool or add-in such as iSpring Suite, Articulate Storyline 360 or Adobe Captivate.
Not with the two most common tools running natively. Storyline 360 authoring requires Windows 11; on a Mac, Articulate supports it through Parallels Desktop (or VMware Fusion on Intel Macs). iSpring Suite lists Windows 10 and 11 for authoring. When IKHYA converts your slides, you do not need to own either tool.
Mostly, but not all. Storyline 360 imports most PowerPoint animations and transitions and skips those without a close equivalent, and it does not import embedded fonts, charts or embedded files. We rebuild what does not carry over.
Yes, if the tool and layout are chosen for it. Rise 360 courses adapt to every screen and orientation, while Storyline 360 keeps the slide's aspect ratio, so a widescreen slide shrinks on a phone held upright. A Captivate project made from a PowerPoint import is non-responsive. We choose the tool based on the devices your learners use.
